YouTube:
YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005, on which users can upload, view and share videos.
You can also interact with the community by commenting on videos, uploading videos to the site, and you can subscribe to people.
How I created an identity:
I created an identity by completing an online application form, which meant I had to provide an email address, this address is where the sites I have subscribed to send notifications.I also had to provide a D.O.B which determines what kind of videos you can watch on the site.
How I interacted with others/what was it about:
I interacted with others by commenting on the video I was watching.
The conversation is generally about the video but some people troll in the comment section
For no reason.
Reason for using YouTube:
I use YouTube because it is entertaining to watch videos from the people I am subscribed to.Facebook:
Facebook is a social networking service and website launched in February 2004. As of April 2012, Facebook has more than 900 million active users.
If you want to use Facebook you must register, you can then create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including automatic notifications when they update their profile.
You can also join common-interest user groups, these can be anything from a hobbie group to a trade and exchange page.
You must beat least 13 years to become registered to use the site.
I don't use Facebook, but both my mum and dad use it a lot, mum uses it for both personal and hobbie reasons, she has her own page as well as her photography page.
